Sunbeams Music Centre

During the year ending May 2007, Annie Mawson's Sunbeams Music Trust provided over 1,000 live Music Workshops to 17,000 disadvantaged children and adults throughout the North of England, and 40 concerts to over 4,600 people throughout England. Our trained professional musicians worked in a wide range of Special Needs venues including Hospitals, Hospices, Day Centres, Care Homes and Special Schools .

In 2006 we embarked on an ambitious project to provide Nationally Accredited Qualifications to adults with severe physical disabilities and learning difficulties, in partnership with the Open College Network. The demand for this came from our clients themselves.

This is an iconic building, designed by a young Cumbrian, which will
establish a cutting edge Centre of Excellence in a county that aspires to
success through achievement.

Our building target is £1.5 million, and we need your help.

"When we at Sunbeams started our adventure into the power of music, little did we realise the obligation we would have to the very people we wanted to help. You cannot open a door to show a glimpse of possibility and slam it shut. It has become our moral responsibility to provide a
pathway beyond"
